임신중 산과영역에서 만날 수 있는 피부질환은 매우 다양하며, 피부과 상담을 반드시 거쳐야 할 질환이 많다. 특히 피부질환 가운데 태아의 안녕을 저해하는 병변들이 있음을 유념해야 하고 임신중 호전, 악화되는 피부질환을 이해해야 한다. 또한 임신 및 수유시 사용하는 피부질환 치료제가 태아에게 미치는 영향을 반드시 알아두어야 할 것이다.

Dermatologic changes associated with pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium are closely related to physical and hormonal alteration. Some of these occur so frequently that they are not considered abnormal and vary in degree. Author discusses these physiologic changes as well as pathologic phenomena of pregnancy and the the effects of pregnancy on preexisting skin disease.
